Some of you elite SAMA members rocked up today (Monday) expecting some sweet Anime goodness.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Due to administration miscommunication, the screening times thread was resurrected earlier than it was ment to be.
Screenings will be locked in during the easter break.
However, we are planning an event for all in the next week or so, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on your email adresses, mobile phones and this website, as we will tell you all shortly of the awesomness planned!

With many thanks to Marc Morel and to the ever-wonderful RMIT ARTS, We now have access to the RMIT Kaleide theatre for screenings once again!
After speaking to our Screening Director, we have established these two screening times:
Monday, 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Friday, 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
If anyone has any issues with these two days, speak now, or forever hold your peace!

MEMBERSHIP CARD CONTEST~
Needed: design for front and back of the new 2008 membership cards
Must be: any original artwork
Size: 7.5cm x 5cm or larger as long as it is kept in that proportion :3
Dpi: at least 200 dpi
Can be: any format and may be handdrawn and scanned, digital, black and white, coloured, fingerpainted... its up to u =)
How to enter: email it to chockubbo (at) gmail.com
Subject: anything you want :D
Remember: no offensive material!! also dont forget that there has to be space for details like name, number and exp date.
Due in by: 31st March! so in about 3 weeks time... and i want to see entries from everyone!!! after i get them in i'll put up a vote for all you guys to select your fav and that lucky person will get his/her design as the card for the year!

Dear New members, returning members and everyone else...
Firstly, Welcome to RMIT Society of Anime and Manga Addicts (sama) for 2008.
If you are new to the club, the committee would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and hope your time in sama is a great one and you get the chance to meet fellow lovers of either Japanese Animation, Manga, US comics, gaming and all other things that are slightly related.
If you've signed up to the forums and haven't yet made an introduction thread, please do so, there are plenty of older members and new members alike that want to welcome you and make you feel at home.
Anyone who signed up on the day and hasn't registered for SMS updates...we strongly recommend you do so as it is the easiest form of communication between the club and you, and most of all it doesn't cost you a cent as long as you have paid your $5. If you would like to register please contact this year's president ÜberFly (Mark) via PM or MSN.
Lastly, as a message from me, samaadmin (no I don't exist in a physical presence, except here). I'd like to say that these forums are very free flowing and spam is recommended (within reason) so much so that we have a spam section The touching of the harble, so if you must go crazy, please do so there 
Also, flaming and abusive posting is not allowed at all when it is directed solely at one person and upsets their feelings, we understand that sometimes that it is accidental, if this is the case we ask that you PM one of the committee members and they will resolve the situation, as it is usually a mis-understanding.
All that aside, enjoy the year and good luck with your studies, and the committee hopes to meet you again in person again soon at screenings and events throughout the year. Please direct any questions, queries that you may about the club to ÜberFly.
